Packaging has to identify the exact fit
Acoustic panel accessories can look similar while fitting different slat dimensions. The outer label should therefore show the model or SKU clearly so warehouse staff and customers can distinguish variants.
Use EAN at the sellable-unit level
Retailers commonly assign an EAN/GTIN to each sellable SKU. If color or size creates a separate inventory item, confirm whether it needs its own code according to the retailer's system and GS1 rules used by the brand owner.
Include a simple compatibility diagram
A small drawing that identifies slat width and gap can prevent many fit-related returns. Keep the diagram consistent between the package, product page and installation sheet.
Protect the product during shipping
3D-printed or molded accessories can have projecting hooks and edges. A compact box or internal protection should prevent pressure on thin features during transport.
Installation information should be close to the product
A short printed guide or QR link can show orientation, clamp placement and tightening steps. Do not rely on the customer finding a generic website page after opening the package.
For mixed B2B cartons
Outer cartons should include product model, quantity and barcode information that matches the individual units. Clear labeling reduces picking errors when a distributor stocks several similar accessory models.
