Use the actual panel when possible
The most important sample test is fit on the panel the product is intended to serve. A clamp can look correct in isolation but interfere with felt or edge geometry during real installation.
Record dimensions before testing
Measure the sample and the panel. Keep these numbers with photos so later production parts can be compared with the approved reference.
Evaluate installation experience
Check how long installation takes, whether the user can understand the mechanism and whether excessive force is required. If a screw is used, confirm it has enough adjustment range without bottoming out.
Test representative use
Place the normal intended object on a shelf or holder and observe sliding, rotation and flex. Use the actual shelf depth and realistic load position.
Check the visible finish
Review color, print texture, edge quality, logos and contact marks after removal. For consumer-facing products, these details influence perceived quality as much as raw strength.
Approve packaging too
Verify SKU, EAN/barcode, quantity, instructions and protection against transport damage. A good product can still create returns if the wrong model is packed or the installation explanation is unclear.
Freeze the approved version
Give the approved sample or drawing a revision number. Any later geometry, material or process change should be reviewed before it replaces the approved production reference.
